Making maintenance more mobile
Hornsby Shire is a local government area in the northern region of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The Shire stretches from the suburb of Eastwood in the south to the Hawkesbury River town of Wisemans Ferry, some 53 kilometres to the north. As at the 2011 Census the Shire had an estimated population of 156,847.

Hornsby Shire Council deployed the Blink Mobility Platform in 2011 and has since developed a number of mobile work processes ranging from rate payer apps to development approval, chemical application and WH&S mobility solutions. The following case study takes a deeper look at how Council’s field team now manage safety and compliance as well has improved data capture whilst on a work site. The Blink Mobility Platform enables full mobile workflows and resources such as Risk Assessments and Traffic Management Plans to be available via tablets for the crew to download, answer, annotate and submit into TRIM in realtime, in the field, even with no network connectivity.
