Welcome to our second issue of BlinkMobile Quarterly, our technology magazine for BlinkMobile partners and customers.

In this issue Alan Williams uses his CTO Overview to take a closer look at why enterprise mobility is a wider problem domain than just the creation of “hero apps”.

We’ll look at reducing risk - how the wonders of AWS and decoupled design are reducing operational and upgrade risks for BlinkMobile customers. Whilst the thorny problem of taking advantage of the “evergreen” benefits of web apps while still wanting the self-contained advantage of native apps is addressed in our article on the curiously named “Evergreen Cold Boot”.

We then review how Hornsby Shire Council has employed image annotation to be highly effective in improving everyday business processes. While we round up news and announcements from around the BlinkMobile world.

Lastly you’ll notice more of the BlinkMobile personality come through in this issue as we profile members of the BlinkMobile team, the gadgets and trends that occupy their spare time and we showcase some of our partners’ activities. We hope you find this initiative enlightening and useful, and we look forward to receiving your ideas and comments to improve BlinkMobile’s Technology Quarterly.
